The Return of Primary Season Kicks Off With a Bang (Podcast)

A big month for congressional primaries gets started June 2 with action in seven states. On this week’s episode of Downballot Counts, Bloomberg Government’s Kyle Trygstad and Greg Giroux highlight the top contests to watch Tuesday.

They include open-seat races that will all but decide the next House member and the most challenging nomination fight of Rep. Steve King’s (R-Iowa) career. Other primaries will set up highly contested general elections that will affect which party controls the House.
