Kaustuv Basu is a senior reporter focused on the intersection of policy and politics. He covers Congress, with a focus on the House Ways and Means and Senate Finance committees.
Basu honed his reporting skills as a crime, courts and enterprise reporter for Florida Today/USA Today Network. He has received journalism awards from the Society of Professional Journalists, the Education Writers Association, and the Florida Press Club.
He holds a master’s degree in journalism from the Annenberg School at the University of Southern California.
