Tom Davis on GOP’s Strategy to Win Congressional Races (Podcast)

Former Rep. Tom Davis discussed the state of play in the fight for Congress on the latest episode of Downballot Counts.

Davis, who represented Northern Virginia for 14 years and served two election cycles as chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee, talked about how GOP incumbents in the House and Senate can survive competitive re-election races even with President Donald Trump trailing in national and battleground state polls.

And with the Republican National Convention kicking off Monday, he said it was important for the party — especially Trump — to stay on message this week.
