Lowey Says Stopgap Funding Measure Likely to Go to Dec. 20

“It appears it will be Dec. 20,” House Appropriations Cmte Chairwoman Nita Lowey tells reporters after meeting with Senate Appropriations Cmte Chairman Richard Shelby.

  • Continuing resolution date is based on input from leadership, Lowey says
  • No final decision on length of stopgap funding has been taken: Lowey
  • NOTE: Lawmakers are trying to craft a new funding measure as the current one is set to expire after Nov. 21; without a solution there will be a partial government shutdown
