Bloomberg Government’s Kyle Trygstad and Greg Giroux discuss the House and Senate races that are still undecided and what they mean for the 117th Congress on the latest episode of Downballot Counts.

The biggest election storyline for the next two months is in Georgia, where a pair of Senate runoffs will decide which party controls that chamber. That will have an immediate effect as President-elect Joe Biden moves to fill his Cabinet and kick-start his administration’s top legislative priorities.

Meanwhile, about a dozen House results are unknown—some with razor-thin margins—and Democrats look like they’ll have a narrower majority next year. Kyle and Greg go over the uncalled seats and discuss why Democrats didn’t meet their high expectations.
