Lanza, from Mercury Public Affairs, emphasized that Trump remains a dominant force in Washington, with his disruptive approach driving much of the agenda. Edwards advised targeting pressure points in Republican districts for more effective lobbying, while Thornell stressed the importance of bipartisan support given the narrow control in Congress. The panelists also highlighted the need for businesses to understand Trump’s trade policies and recommended finding champions on Capitol Hill to push back against funding cuts.
