Idaho’s May 19 primary election will be conducted entirely by mail under existing laws for absentee voting, Gov. Brad Little said Tuesday.
“We’re going to maintain our May 19 election day, but we want it to be mail-in ballot only,” Little (R) said during an American Association of Retired Persons telephone town hall.
“There’s a lot of interaction at a polling station. At this point in time, there’s no sense in doing that, putting the voters and the poll workers and everyone else at risk,” Little said, referring to the possibility of spreading the new coronavirus.
