Contractors hired by the Arizona Senate to perform a partisan audit of the 2020 election in Maricopa County have tested positive for Covid-19, delaying a full report of their findings, Senate President Karen Fann (R) said Monday.
The Senate expected a full draft report Monday from cybersecurity company Cyber Ninjas that led the recount of nearly 2.1 million ballots and examinations of election equipment. Lawmakers will instead receive a portion of the report because Cyber Ninjas CEO Doug Logan and two other members of the audit team are “quite sick,” Fann said in a statement.
The team also wants to include an analysis of ballot envelope images that were received Thursday, Fann said. The Senate’s legal team will review the partial draft starting Wednesday. It’s unclear when a full report could be released to the public.
