On October 17, Bloomberg Government will host its 2019 Fall Hill Watch breakfast. This series is an extension of the BGOV news and analyst team’s Hill Watch report released on September 9, which takes a comprehensive look at what’s happening on the Hill, what to watch in Congress, and what policy movement is expected in the upcoming months.

This Hill Watch event will cover notable topics on everything from immigration to tax reform to health care and more with notable Hill leaders. At this Policy and Politics–focused event, our live moderated discussion will touch on the current state of Congress – everything from groundbreaking policy happenings to a midyear and end-of-year recap to the intersection of policy and politics with a newer, more diverse Congress.

As House Majority Leader, Congressman Hoyer is the second-ranking member of the House Democratic Leadership. He is charged with scheduling legislation for consideration on the House Floor, shaping House Democrats’ legislative priorities, and delivering the Democratic message. Congressman Hoyer previously served as House Majority Leader from 2007 to 2011, and as House Democratic Whip from 2003 to 2007 and from 2011-2019.
