About Sanford Rebeck: Sandy has more than 20 years of policy, business
and legal experience. As Assistant General Counsel of the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, he helped negotiate NAFTA as well as important agreements with Japan and the European Union. As Senior International Counsel at MCI, he served as the principal company advocate on international trade matters. Sandy also has extensive experience in the technology area, having served as Deputy General Counsel for Policy at UUNET, then the world’s largest Internet services provider. Sandy holds a B.A. in Political Science from Stanford University, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, a Masters degree from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and was a Fulbright Fellow at the Royal Institute of International Affairs in London.

He had been a senior correspondent and bureau chief for TIME and spent much of a decade there covering national politics. He was also editor of The Roanoke (Va.) Times. Riley graduated with a B.A. in English from Wake Forest University and has a master’s in public administration from Harvard’s Kennedy School.
